March/April Arizona

We stopped for a couple of nights in Benson and met Kathie and Cliff Sklenar for breakfast.  We had a great visit - but I forgot to get pictures!  :-(

We spent a week in Casa Grande and saw Brad and Teresa Dighton, and Kevin and Marita Johnson.  We had a fun evening, and Mike got to golf with Kevin.

We headed to Apache Junction on March 16th for a month at Superstition Sunrise RV park.  It's a nice park, and we've been seeing a lot of friends.  We've been seeing a lot of Joe and Ellen - they live in Gilbert.  It's been two years since we saw them, so it's been good to spend time together.

We had dinner with Maureen and Gene Lund. They aren't coming back to Hart Ranch this year, they're going to Wisconsin to work for the summer.  We may go see them on the way back to Georgia.

Mike has been able to golf a few times with Gene Lund and with Tim Treick.  We've been to Anne and Tim's a couple of times. Anne had happy hour and we saw Larry and Peggy Schuman, Lolly Skillman, Jim Neilson. We had a good visit.

Anne and I got to see the Clydesdales at Mesa Marketplace - that was fun.

We got to visit Dottie and Roger Johnson - they have a place here in Apache Junction. I hope we'll see them at Hart Ranch, but the timing may not work as we're not scheduled to get there until later in June, and by then they'll be in Minnesota. Sally and Lyle were here for a couple of days, and we had a great day with them.  We even ran into Angie and Victor at the Lost Dutchman Ghost Town!  We're having lunch with Angie and Victor tomorrow so we'll have time to visit.

Today Anne and I went to see Lolly at her place in Tempe - Friendship Village. She showed us all around, and she has a really nice cottage.  It's a great place, and we had a good visit.

We're also going to see Hugh and JoAnn Hart tomorrow for a short visit.  Nothing like saving everything until the last minute! (We're leaving on Saturday!)

St. Patrick's Day Dinner. YUM!

Our spot at Superstition Sunrise. The Gazebo is for shade since we don't have an awning.

Picnic close to Roosevelt Dam. We couldn't sit out since it was so windy!

Tonto National Monument. Great view, tough hike!
