SUNNY and WARM in Arizona

After the last post, it's nice to say we're WARM!   We arrived in Coolidge on January 25th, and missed the horrid snomageddon in Atlanta.  We missed all the ice and snow on the way, although we did have 17 for a low in Fort Stockton, TX (balmy compared to the 4 in Cleveland the week before!)

This week has been in the 80's here - ahhhhh.   Not missing the recent ice and snow in Georgia, either.

We've had a couple of really nice rides with friends Lee and Deb Ralston, had our Hart Ranch reunion lunch in Casa Grande, and have been hanging out with friends Joe and Ellen DeRose.

Really ENJOYING the weather here!

This past week we rode up to Roosevelt Reservoir.  We stopped to picnic at Tonto National Monument that has cliff dwellings.

Junk yard in Rye.  Amazing - bicycles, motorcycles, ATV's, you name it!

Four Degrees in Cleveland, GA

Well this week of the polar vortex has been brutal to us in the RV here in Cleveland Georgia!

Tuesday morning we woke up to 4 degrees, and it didn't get above freezing Monday or Tuesday.  We were up all night Monday night and Tuesday night because the pipes froze and Mike was trying to mitigate any damage.  At one point, he had an electric heater running underneath.

The furnace ran every 15 minutes to try and keep up - luckily we had plenty of propane.

Next year WE WILL HAVE SKIRTS!

We survived, no damage that couldn't be fixed, and we're looking forward to getting to warmer Arizona!

Here we are trying to keep warm in the camper:
