Hart Ranch Spring 2024

After I left Bill and Jan's I spent the weekend in Sheridan.  I walked around downtown (I love this little town) and had lunch at a brewery.

Today (the 28th) I arrived at Hart Ranch.  This is my grace week while I get settled in. I start work next Sunday.  I saw Dottie and Roger - they're here for a month or so before they head back to Minnesota.

The camper I'm renting from Chris Jackson is very comfortable.  I got all unpacked, had a little supper, and now I'm whipped and ready for bed! (but it's only 6:30!!!☺😏  It was 38 and raining when I got here - ugh!!!

This is my home for the next few months.

Helena 2024

I had such a great visit with Bill and Jan.  It's so nice spending time with them.  I got to meet all the new pets; Pepper the Berne-doodle, and Tana and Trio the beautiful kittens.  And Sally the lab was as sweet as ever. Very energetic!

They took me on a hike, we went to dinner at restaurants on two different lakes, and Bill took me out to a lake to see the trout spawning by the boat launch.  There were so many we could have walked on them! Then we saw an osprey catch a fish and we got to watch him fly away with it.  It was awesome!

Boise 2024

I got here Tuesday, and Jan and Steve had us all over for dinner. It was great to see them, and Char was there too. She never changes! I'm glad I got to see her, she's leaving tomorrow for Washington to see her daughters.
I spent today with Joan (Chuck had to work), and tomorrow Chuck and I are going to golf, and then we're all going out for supper.  It's so nice spending time with them!!
We only played 4 holes because it was so cold!!

Ely, Nevada 4/15/24

I left Las Vegas on Sunday and drove to Ely.  Mike and I started our camping and dirt biking adventures here, and it's a very special place for us.

We used to camp at Cave Lake.  I went up there today, and went as far as I could on the Success Summit Loop, which we used to ride all the time.  There is so much snow here! (It is 6500 feet).  It's such a beautiful area.

I sprinkled some of his ashes at both ends of the loop, remembering all the great rides and fun camping trips.  It was a very emotional day.  God I miss him so much!

At the top - I think in 2006

Mike tried to ride to the top of this. It's very steep, and he tipped over right at the top! I waited at the bottom
