End of August, last leg of the trip

We'll be home on Sunday the 28th, for a total of 7200 miles, 18 states, and 6 1/2 months.  What a great trip!!

After the Alpaca farm we headed toward Branson, through Kansas.  We happened to hit 100 degree weather....thankfully we weren't at a HH and had A/C!!

We saw a couple of shows in Branson - the Dolly Stampede which was fun - a lot like the show at Excalibur.  We did the Branson Belle dinner show again, but they've changed it completely.  Now it's mostly rock and roll, some show tunes, and a little bit of gospel.  Mike didn't really like it, but the dinner was good.

Then we headed down to Biloxi - after a beautiful drive through the Ozarks.  That really is a pretty area, and we had been in the same area by Clinton (stayed in Shirley) in 2019.  I thought it looked familiar as we were driving through.

Tomorrow we leave and will be back home on Sunday the 28th.  It's been a great trip - I'm so glad we did it and am so thankful for the time we got to spend with friends.

Hard to get a satellite signal when you're in the trees!

Fun at the Hard Rock Casino after dinner at McElroy's.  We put $20 in, I accidentally hit bet $5, and bells were ringing, things were spinning, and we walked out with $328!!!  Very fun, and it paid for dinner all week!!!

Hart Ranch, Salida, Harvest Host Our Little Red Barn

We got to Hart Ranch on June 18th and left August 5th.  It was a quick six weeks, trying to squeeze in seeing and spending time with all of our friends.

Jim Neilsen loaned Mike one of his Harley's and they took a couple of rides.  Mike, on a Harley???

We had several fun dinners with Sally and Lyle - one at their new condo. This was desert, and the picture was for Pam.

Ann and Tim rented a cabin at Terry Peak and we spent a night with them.  Mike and Tim golfed and Anne and I hiked and went out to lunch. It was a great time.  Lots of wine involved.

Susan and Scott took us ATVing out in the hills behind Scott's family's homestead.  What a great day!

Rasberry picking!

We left Hart Ranch and stayed 4 nights in Nathrop, only 10 miles from Claudia and Chuck.  Chuck wasn't feeling well, so one day Mike golfed by himself and Claudia and I did a 6 mile hike to Interlaken by Twin Lakes.  What a hike!!  9800'.  I had to rest a lot, but it was so fun.

Hana was such a trooper!

When we left Salida, we drove to Calhan, CO and stayed at a Harvest Host called Our Little Red Barn.  What a great place - an alpaca farm.  The owner gave us a great tour, the guard dogs were so sweet, and Tabby the Cat wanted to sit in our laps all the time!

The morning we were leaving, the boys had to say goodbye
