Yesterday after Mike golfed we drove to Hill City and had lunch at the Alpine Inn - one of our favorite places. Jaeger schnitzel for two, please!!
Then we drove out to Deerfield Lake, and took the dirt road to Rochford. Mike wanted to test the 4WD Low, and the locked rear wheels, so we took off on NF187. What a great ride!! We intended to go all the way to Rochford, but the road was closed off a few miles in, so we had to turn around.
We went through mud holes and ruts, and the car never faltered! Exactly what Mike was looking for when we got it!!! Fun day. Next week, we'll find another road!
The Hills are stunning because they are still so green - thanks to all the rain! We're tired of rain, but it sure is pretty.
