On June 10th we drove to Denver to put Ella on a plane back to Atlanta, after a really fun two weeks. We stayed there overnight, and then drove to Salida on Tuesday. We spent Tuesday visiting Roy and Janet Friend - had a great day. They took us up to their cabin in the mountains, and then up to a spot where the Aspens were just beginning to leaf out, and had beautiful views. It looked really familiar, and it turns out that this is where Claudia and Chuck had taken us for a cookout in 2008!! Small world!
On Wednesday we met Claudia and Chuck for golf in Buena Vista, and then stayed with them Wednesday night. We had a great time, as usual, but too short. Next year, we hope we'll be able to spend more time together since we don't have to be back for work!!
