South Dakota Badlands

We've finally managed a camping trip, and we finally camped at the Badlands.  I was on call for jury duty for June and July, and I got on a jury just before the 4th.  That ended my obligation, we we're free to plan things now for the remaining month of July.

We headed out on Tuesday, and came home today.   I think it's the hottest it's been this year. Yesterday was 109 when we got back from our ride, and tent camping isn't particularly comfortable in that kind of heat!!   We would hose ourselves down periodically to get the evaporative cooling effect.  Luckily we had fans in the tent, and it cooled down nicely at night.

We stayed at the KOA and they had lots of trees.  It was all in all a great getaway.
