January 2013

1/31/13:  Today our newest granddaughter became a US Citizen!   Here's her picture that Katie posted on her blog today.  We can't wait to meet her!

1/29/13:  We've been babysitting Katie's kids (Chase, Ella, and Taylor) while she and Mike are in China adopting Olivia.  Here's a link to Katie's blog covering that adventure:  http://www.peaches-and-pandas.blogspot.com/    They get home on Saturday, 2/1, and we can't wait!

In the meantime, this picture is from Sunday night after they got home from the Ice Hockey game with Angie and Scott.  We made s'mores in the fireplace.  Great fun.

1/25/13:  Hi!  Well, a few months have passed, but all is well. I am cancer free!  After surgery and radiation, which ended on October 31st, we headed to Georgia - better late than never.  We got here just before Thanksgiving, and have been having a great time.

We got the cabin up in Helen for two weeks over Christmas and New Years - and it was total chaos as usual.

We were able to get a picture of us with the grandkids.

Everyone is getting so grown up!

Nate started college at North Georgia University in Dahlonega in January.  Now that he's close to us, he's come up to see us at the campground in Cleveland a couple of times.

Last weekend and this weekend we're staying at Katie's house to stay with the kids.  Katie and Mike are in China getting little Olivia Kate.  The adoption process has taken a year and they are finally there to get her!  Here's a link to her blog:  http://www.peaches-and-pandas.blogspot.com/  She has lots of pictures of Olivia.  They'll be home on February 2nd, and the kids can't wait!

That's it for now, we're hoping to head west to Casa Grande around the 3rd week of February.
